Congratulations to the South Kortright Varsity Boys Soccer Team and their Head Coach Bob Van Valkenburgh for representing their families, their school community, the Delaware League, and Section IV proudly in the NYSPHSAA Soccer Championships at Middletown, NY this past weekend. They have a program all of our schools respect and truly enjoy competing against. Thank you all for the wonderful season!!!
Congratulations to Coach Bob Van Valkenburgh and the South Kortright Rams Varsity Boys Soccer Team on their NYSPHSAA Quarterfinal victory by a 1-0 score over Section III's Belleville-Henderson in an extremely hard fought contest. They next play in the NYSPHSAA Class D Final Four this coming Saturday November 13th at Twin Towers Middle School in Middletown, NY at 9:15 AM against Section IX opponent Mount Academy. Tickets may be purchased in advance on the NYSPHSAA website through GoFan. Best of luck as always to South Kortright from all of the Delaware League!!!

Hope to see many fans there to support the team!!! Also, good luck to our neighboring Tri Valley Section IV Class D Girls Soccer champions, the Schenevus Lady Dragons and their Head Coach Steve Hornung as they take on Section III opponent Poland in NYSPHSAA quarterfinal action at HCCC in Herkimer at 4:00 PM. Let's hope for two Section IV Class D teams in the Final Four!!!
Congratulations to the South Kortright Rams and their Head Coach Bob Van Valkenburgh for capturing the Section IV Class D Soccer Championship today at the NSHOF Fields in Oneonta by defeating Cherry-Valley Springfield of the Tri Valley League by a score of 5-1. All of us in the Delaware League are proud that they will represent our league and Section IV in the State Tournament. South Kortright will return to the NSHOF Fields in Oneonta next weekend where they will take on the Section III Class D champion for the right to advance to the NYS Final Four. Best of luck SKCS!!!
Congratulations to the Gilboa Conesville Varsity Boys Golf Team who defeated Roxbury yesterday in their last league match to complete their regular season with a league record of 6-1. With the win, they now share the Delaware League Regular Season Championship with the Margaretville Blue Devils who also completed their regular season with a league record of 6-1. Great job by both teams!!!
Delaware League Seniors!!! The Delaware League Senior Soccer Games scheduled for this Sunday October 31st at 1:00 PM at Margaretville Central School are cancelled due to already unplayable and unsafe field conditions which will be worsened by more rain on Saturday. Your school AD's will be receiving your Tee Shirts for you in the near future. We are sorry that the games will not happen but your health and safety come first. Thank you!!!
Delaware League Seniors!!!! Remember the Senior Soccer Games are this Sunday October 31st at 1:00 PM at Margaretville Central School. Both the Girls Game and Boys Game will happen simultaneously. Please bring both your light and dark shirts as teams will be selected that day, and you must have the NYSPHSAA signed permission slip turned in that day to play in the game. No texts or phone calls will be accepted. Come out and enjoy this fun game to complete your high school soccer careers!!! Hope to see you there!!!
Congratulations to all the Delaware League Varsity Girls and Boys Soccer teams advancing to Section IV Class D play. On the girls side the seeds are as follows: Roxbury (#5), Margaretville (#6), Downsville (#8), Charlotte Valley (#12) and South Kortright (#13). On the boys side the seeds are as follows: South Kortright (#2), Downsville (#3), Margaretville (#5), Hunter Tannersville (#9), and Charlotte Valley (#10). Good luck to all of the teams!!!
Congratulations to the victors in the Delaware League Soccer Championships held on October 16th at the NSHOF Fields in Oneonta, NY. On the girls side the Roxbury Lady Rockets defeated the Margaretville Lady Blue Devils by a score of 6-0, and in the boys game the South Kortright Rams defeated the Margaretville Blue Devils by a score of 4-2. Great games by all the teams in very trying rainy conditions.
Congratulations to our regular season Girls and Boys Delaware League Varsity Soccer Champions for 2021-22. On the girls side our champion was Roxbury with a league record of 7-0-1, and on the boys side we had co champs with Margaretville and South Kortright both sporting a league record of 7-1.
Congratulations to Hunter Tannersville for winning the Delaware League 18 Hole Golf Championship on October 6th with a team score of 369. Congratulations to our top 3 individual scorers Grady Glennon of Hunter Tannersville as medalist with a score of 73, Thomas Chairvolotti of Margaretville as runner up with a score of 78, and Kara Dumas of Gilboa Conesville as our second runner up with a score of 86.
