The rain date for this event is Friday October 10th, 2025 at the same venue and time. Congrats to all the teams and individuals that qualified to participate in this fun annual event!!! We will recognize our team champion, and individually our medalist, our runner up, and our second runner up. Good luck to everyone!!!

On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate the athletes from the Delaware League who were selected to be members of the Section IV Student Athlete Advisory Committee. The committee will discuss topics relevant to high school student athletes and develop ways to maintain a positive athletic experience. They will promote safety, sportsmanship, leadership in and out of the classroom, and positive relationships with coaches, administrators, officials, and student athletes. Our representatives are Hayden Marino from Charlotte Valley Central School, Addy Hynes from Roxbury Central School, and Savannah Pettersen from Roxbury Central School. We thank you for representing our athletes and our schools on this special Section IV committee and wish you all the best of luck in gaining positive experiences from this endeavor.

On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate WCDO and Nate Lull as they were recognized by The New York State Broadcasters Association with two major awards. The Nate Lull Podcast received the award for the 2025 Small Market Radio Outstanding Podcast. The entire WCDO team received the 2025 Serving New York Award for their work raising funds and promoting of The Nate Lull Scholarship Foundation. Congrats again to everyone and thank you for all you do for our local high schools and their athletic programs.

To qualify as a NYSPHSAA School of Excellence Winner, the school needs 75% of its varsity athletic teams qualify to be recognized for NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete Team status for the entire school year. Congratulations to the entire Charlotte Valley Central School Athletic Program for excelling not just on the field and courts, but in the classroom as well. On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate the following varsity girls softball players for being named to the NYSSCOGS (New York State Sportswriters and Coaches Organizations for Girls Sports) 2024-25 Class D All State Softball Team Lists. In a class D, named to the 3rd Team were Natalie Amadon from the Charlotte Valley/Schenevus Merged Team and Hannah Tuttle from Windham Ashland Jewett Central School. Named to the 4th team was Mikayla Wright from the Gilboa Conesville/Roxbury Merged Team. This is a tremendous honor that recognizes the hard work of these players, their team mates, and their coaching staff. The entire league, our schools, the athletes families, and their local communities are proud of these accomplishments.

On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate Natalie Amadon from Charlotte Valley Central School on being named the 2024-25 recipient of the Lou Gaeta Senior Memorial Scholarship Award presented by Stamford Junior Golf, Inc. The $500 award goes to a graduating senior from a Delaware League School who has attended our annual summer golf clinics, is a member of their school’s high school varsity golf team, and displays the proper ideals of sportsmanship, integrity, and character that the game of golf teaches us all. Natalie plans to attend SUNY Delhi this fall majoring in education. Congratulations Natalie!!!

On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate Teagan Mahoney of Hunter Tannersville Central School on her outstanding performance at the NYSPHSAA Girls Golf Championship at the Wild Wood Country Club in Rush, NY. Teagan had a two day total of 25 over par 169, good for a tie for 33rd place in a field of 106 participants. On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate the individual accomplishments of our spring female athletes in golf. In Girls Individual Sectionals at Soaring Eagles Golf Club in Elmira, NY Teagan Mahoney of Hunter Tannersville Central School qualified for the Section IV Team that will compete at the NYSPHSAA Championships at Wild Wood Country Club in Rush, NY on June 8th and 9th. Teagan shot a score of 84, good enough for 4th place. Best of luck at states!!!

On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to recognize our Track and Field top three finishers at the Section IV Class D Meet held at Marathon Central School. All of our top three finishers came in the girls events. From the Margaretville/Roxbury Merged Team, Ava Poniros finished 3rd in the 100m event. From the South Kortright/Charlotte Valley/Andes Merged Team, Aurelia Comer finished 3rd in the 3000m event. From the South Kortright/Charlotte Valley/Andes Merged Team, Elsa Marigliano finished 3rd in both the 1500m event and in the 2000m Steeplechase. Congrats to all who participated in this annual event!!!

Individual winners in the Tri Valley Championships are as follows: on the girls side winners include Jordan Odell from the South Kortright/Charlotte Valley/Andes merged team in the 400m event, Aurelia Comer from the South Kortright/Charlotte Valley/Andes merged team in the 3000m event, Zariah Fortune, Sally Kuhn, Jordan Odell, and Nora Trimbell from the South Kortright/Charlotte Valley/Andes merged team in the 4x100 relays, and Aurelia Comer, Elsa Marigliano, Lily Marigliano, and Nora Trimbell from the South Kortright/Charlotte Valley/Andes merged team in the 4x800 relays. On the boys side, winners include Langston Comer from the South Kortright/Charlotte Valley/Andes merged team in the 3200m event and Tristen Thomson from the Jefferson/Stamford merged team in the high jump event. On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate our school districts that competed in the Section IV Class D Sectional Tournament at the College Golf Course at SUNY Delhi in Delhi, NY. There were 15 teams competing and the Delaware League Teams finished as follows: Hunter Tannersville Central School finished in a tie for 9th place, the Andes/SKCS Merged Team finished in 12th place, the Charlotte Valley/Schenevus Merged Team finished in 13th place, and the Gilboa Conesville/Roxbury Merged Team was incomplete. Individually Gideon Glennon from Hunter Tannersville Central School was the tournament medalist and individual Section IV Class D champion with a score of 75. Shawn Streeter from the Charlotte Valley/Schenevus Merged Team finished in a tie for 15th place with a score of 89. Shane O’Hara from the Gilboa Conesville/Roxbury Merged Team finished in a tie for 21st place with a score of 91. Teagan Mahoney from Hunter Tannersville Central School finished in 30th place with a score of 94. Congratulations to all of the participants.

In Boys Individual Sectionals at the Mark Twain Golf Club in Elmira, NY Gideon Glennon from Hunter Tannersville Central School attempted to qualify for the Boys Section IV State Team. Gideon finished in a tie for 11th place with a score of 81, two shots away from qualifying. Congratulations on representing your school and the Delaware League so proudly in the tournament.

On the girls side, the seeds are as follows: #1 seed Charlotte Valley/Schenevus merged team, #3 seed Windham Ashland Jewett, #4 seed Gilboa Conesville/Roxbury merged team, and #9 seed South Kortright. On the boys side, the seeds are as follows: #3 seed South Kortright, #5 seed Gilboa Conesville/Roxbury merged team, and #8 seed Margaretville. On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors we would like to congratulate our individual tennis players who excelled at the Section IV Class C/D East Sectionals this past week at Camp Starlight in Hancock, NY. In boys singles competition, advancing to quarterfinal play was Caden Anfimovas from Margaretville Central School. In boys doubles competition, advancing to quarterfinal play were the team of Leo Cruz and Donovan Garcia, as well as the team of Blake Cameron and Harrison Stuart. Both teams are from Hunter Tannersville Central School. Great work by everyone!!!
