On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate the Delhi/South Kortright Varsity Boys and Girls Cross Country Merged Teams on their performance at the NYSPHSAA Class D State Cross Country Championships. The Boys Team finished in 4th place overall and the Girls Team finished in 5th place overall. South Kortright athletes finished as follows: for the boys, Langston Comer finished in 51st place and Patrick Trimbell finished in 121st place, and for the girls: Aurelia Comer finished in 29th place, Emma Smith finished in 81st place, and Sally Kuhn finished in 110th place. We are very proud of you for your team and individual accomplishments. Congrats again!!!

On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate the Delhi/Charlotte Valley Boys Varsity Football Merged Team on being crowned the Section IV Football Division VI Champion. Unfortunately, their season ended in the Section IV Class D Football semifinals where they were defeated by IAC member Trumansburg by the score of 21-13. Congrats on another successful regular season and postseason play.

On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to send out our congratulations to the Delhi/South Kortright Varsity Boys Cross Merged Team and the Varsity Girls Cross Country Merged Team, as both teams were crowned Section IV Class D Cross Country Champions at Chenango Valley State Park. Low individual runners from South Kortright were Langston Comer finishing in 9th place for the boys, and Aurelia Comer finishing in 9th place for the girls. We wish both teams the best of luck as they participate in the upcoming NYSPHSAA State Championships at Queensbury High School in Section II on Saturday November 15th, 2025. On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to send out our congratulations to the top seeded Gilboa Conesville/Roxbury Varsity Boys Soccer Merged Team and Head Coaches Kenny Cox and AJ Vamosy on being Section IV Class D Co-Champions with third seeded Edmeston of the Tri-Valley League, by playing to a 2-2 tie at Sidney High School in the Sectional Final. Edmeston prevailed in the penalty kick shootout 3-2 to advance to the NYSPHSAA state tournament. We would like to wish Edmeston and the Section IV Class D Varsity Girls Soccer Champion, the top seeded Richfield Springs/Owen D. Young Merged Team, also of the Tri-Valley League, the best of luck in NYSPHSAA state tournament play this coming week.

Congratulations to the Overall Delaware League Soccer Champions crowned in our games held on Saturday October 18th, 2025 at the NSHOF Wright National Soccer Campus Fields in Oneonta, NY. On the boys side, the Gilboa Conesville/Roxbury Merged Team defeated the SKCS/Andes Merged Team by the score of 5-0 to be champions. On the girls side, the Charlotte Valley/Schenevus Merged Team and the Stamford/Jefferson Merged Team battled to a 1-1 draw resulting in Co-Champions. These were two great games played by all four of our competing teams!!!

The Delaware League Varsity Boys and Girls 2025-26 Soccer Championships will take place on Saturday October 18th, 2025 at the Wright National Soccer Campus Hall of Fame Fields in Oneonta, NY. In the girls championship game at 10:00 AM, the Charlotte Valley/Schenevus Merged Team is the #1 seed and they will play the #2 seed Stamford/Jefferson Merged Team. In the boys championship game at 10:15 AM, the Gilboa Conesville/Roxbury Merged Team is the #1 seed and they will play the #2 seed South Kortright/Andes Merged Team. General admission for all spectators is $5.00, with children under 10 being free. Please no pop-up tents or animals/pets at the campus per local policy. Good luck to all four teams!!!

On the boy’s side, our regular season champion was the Gilboa Conesville/Roxbury Merged Team with s league record of 5-0-1. Congratulations to Hunter Tannersville Central School for winning the Delaware League 18 Hole Golf Championship on October 9th, 2025 at the Hanah Country Club in Margaretville, NY with a team score of 346. The South Kortright/Andes Merged Team finished in second place with a team score of 374, and Roxbury Central School finished in third place with a team score of 389. Congratulations to our top three individual scores, Gideon Glennon of Hunter Tannersville Central School as medalist with a score of 76, Erik Pettersen of Roxbury Central School as runner up with a score of 81, and Teagan Mahoney of Hunter Tannersville Central School as our second runner up with a score of 82. Thank you to everyone at the Hanah Country Club for hosting this tournament and providing lunch for everyone!!!

On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate the athletes from the Delaware League who were selected to be members of the Section IV Student Athlete Advisory Committee. The committee will discuss topics relevant to high school student athletes and develop ways to maintain a positive athletic experience. They will promote safety, sportsmanship, leadership in and out of the classroom, and positive relationships with coaches, administrators, officials, and student athletes. Our representatives are Hayden Marino from Charlotte Valley Central School, Addy Hynes from Roxbury Central School, and Savannah Pettersen from Roxbury Central School. We thank you for representing our athletes and our schools on this special Section IV committee and wish you all the best of luck in gaining positive experiences from this endeavor.

The Nate Lull Podcast received the award for the 2025 Small Market Radio Outstanding Podcast. The entire WCDO team received the 2025 Serving New York Award for their work raising funds and promoting of The Nate Lull Scholarship Foundation. Congrats again to everyone and thank you for all you do for our local high schools and their athletic programs.

In a class D, named to the 3rd Team were Natalie Amadon from the Charlotte Valley/Schenevus Merged Team and Hannah Tuttle from Windham Ashland Jewett Central School. Named to the 4th team was Mikayla Wright from the Gilboa Conesville/Roxbury Merged Team. This is a tremendous honor that recognizes the hard work of these players, their team mates, and their coaching staff. On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate Natalie Amadon from Charlotte Valley Central School on being named the 2024-25 recipient of the Lou Gaeta Senior Memorial Scholarship Award presented by Stamford Junior Golf, Inc. The $500 award goes to a graduating senior from a Delaware League School who has attended our annual summer golf clinics, is a member of their school’s high school varsity golf team, and displays the proper ideals of sportsmanship, integrity, and character that the game of golf teaches us all. Natalie plans to attend SUNY Delhi this fall majoring in education. Congratulations Natalie!!!
