On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate the Windham Ashland Jewett Girls Varsity Softball Team on the completion of an outstanding season culminating in a NYSPHSAA Class D State Tournament Runner Up finish after their state title game today where Section V Oakfield-Alabama defeated them by the score of 4-1. We know your coaches, families, classmates, and communities are all very proud of how you represented your school, the Delaware League, and Section IV all year both on and off the field. The Windham Ashland Jewett player that received the NYSPHSAA Sportsmanship Award as chosen by the State Softball Committee was Maida Dzaferovic. Congratulations to all!!!
On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate the Windham Ashland Jewett Girls Varsity Softball team on their NYSPHSAA Class D State Tournament Semifinal win over Section II’s Fort Ann by the score of 1-0. They now advance to the NYSPHSAA Class D State Tournament Finals where they will face from Section V Oakfield-Alabama who advanced with a 9-0 win over Section III’s Cincinnatus in the other semifinal game. The Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday June 13th, 2026 at Greenlight Grand Slam Park in Binghamton, NY at 10:30 AM on Field 1. For tickets, please go to GoFan. On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate our athletes who participated in the New York State Trap Shooting State Tournament at Bridgeport, NY this past weekend. Top Shooters for the Hunter Tannersville/Windham Team were as follows: Novice Team - Jack Lonecke, Windham, Valerie Petrie, Windham, Caitlin Benjamin, Hunter Tannersville. JV Team which finished in 6th place - Colton Leto, Windham, Kameron Jaeger, Windham, Thorne Agosto, Hunter Tannersville, Abigail Dwon, Hunter Tannersville, Alexis Legg, Hunter Tannersville. Varsity Team which finished in 25th place - William Delephant, Hunter Tannersville, Chase Zimmer, Hunter Tannersville, Jacob Fromer, Hunter Tannersville, Maddie Fromer, Hunter Tannersville. On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate Teagan Mahoney of Hunter Tannersville Central School on her outstanding performance at the NYSPHSAA Girls Golf Championship at the Wild Wood Country Club in Rush, NY. Teagan had a two-day total of 12 over par 156 good for a tie for 16th place in a field of 104 participants. By virtue of her strong finish, Teagan has qualified for the NYSPHSAA Federation Tournament on June 13th and 14th, 2026 at the Bethpage Red Course in Bethpage, NY. Congratulations on proudly representing your school, the Delaware League, Section IV, and most importantly your family with this outstanding performance!!! Good luck!!!
On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate Lelend Donato-Williamson of the Jefferson/Stamford Varsity Boys Track and Field Merged Team for winning the High Jump Event at the Section IV Class D State Qualifier at Union Endicott High School in Endicott, NY. Best of luck in the NYSPHSAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Webster Schroeder High School in Webster, NY on June 13th and 14th, 2026. At these championships, while competing against 54 athletes from all over the state, Lelend finished in a tie for 34th place. Congratulations on proudly representing your school, the Delaware League, and Section IV…great work!!!
On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate the Windham Ashland Jewett Girls Varsity Softball Team for advancing to NYSPHSAA State Semi Final Play by defeating the Section IX Champion Chapel Field Christian by the final score of 10-1 for the NYSPHSAA Regional Championship. State Semi Final games are scheduled for Friday June 12th, 2026 at 11:30 AM at Greenlight Grand Slam Park in Binghamton, NY where Windham Ashland Jewett will face the Section II Champion Fort Ann who defeated the Section VII Champion Crown Point by the score of 6-0 on Field #4. The other semi final contest features the Section V Champion Oakfield-Alabama facing the Section III Champion Cincinnatus on Field #2. Best of luck to Windham Ashland Jewett next week!!!
On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors we would like to congratulate the Gilboa Conesville/Roxbury Varsity Boys Baseball Merged Team on a very successful season that unfortunately came to end in NYSPHSAA State Tournament Sub Regional Play in a close 6-4 loss to the Section IV Class D Champion from the Tri Valley League, the Schenevus/Charlotte Valley Merged Team. We know your school, your players families, and your school communities are all very proud of your hard work and success this season. Best of luck to the Schenevus/Charlotte Valley Merged Team as they advance to NYSPHSAA State Tournament Quarterfinal Play where they will play Fillmore Central School from Section V on Friday June 5th at 6:00 PM at Houghton College in Caneadea, NY. In the sectional final, #2 seeded Windham Ashland Jewett Central School defeated the #1 seed Afton Central School by the score of 3-0 at Greenlight Grand Slam Park in Binghamton, NY. The winners are set to advance to a NYSPHSAA tournament quarterfinal contest on Thursday June 4th, 2026 at 1:30 PM against the Section IX champion, Chapel Field Christian at Monroe Woodbury High School. Congratulations and we wish Windham Ashland Jewett the best of luck in NYSPHSAA tournament play!!!

On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to recognize our Track and Field top three finishers at the Section IV Class D Meet held at Marathon Central School. On the girls side finishing in third place in the 3000 M event was Aurelia Comer of the SKCS/Andes/Charlotte Valley Merged Team. On the boys side finishing in second place in the 3000 M Steeplechase event was Langston Comer of the SKCS/Andes/Charlotte Valley Merged Team. Finishing in second and third place respectively in the High Jump event were Tristen Thomson and Lelend Donato-Williamson both of the Jefferson/Stamford Merged Team. Finishing in second place in the Discus event was Jansen Sturniolo of the SKCS/Andes/Charlotte Valley Merged Team. Congratulations to all who participated in this annual event!!!

The Baseball Championship is on Friday May 29th, 2026 at Sidney High School at 5:00 PM and will feature the #1 seed the Schenevus/Charlotte Valley Merged Team from the Tri Valley League playing the #3 seed the Gilboa Conesville/Roxbury Merged Team of the Delaware League. The Softball Championship is on Saturday May 30th, 2026 at Greenlight Grand Slam Park in Binghamton, NY at 2:00 PM and will feature the #1 seed Afton Central School from the MAC League playing the #2 seed Windham Ashland Jewett Central School of the Delaware League. On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate our athletes who compete in Track and Field in the Tri Valley League. Individual winners in the Tri Valley Championships are as follows: on the girls side winners include Ava Poniros from the Margaretville/Roxbury/Gilboa Conesville Merged Team in the 200m Dash event, Bailee Porter from the SKCS/Andes/Charlotte Valley Merged Team in the Discus event, and the SKCS/Andes/Charlotte Valley Merged Team 4x100 Relay Team consisting of Zariah Fortune, Sally Kuhn, Jaiden Wheeler, and Madison Losie. On the boys side the sole winner was Tristen Thomson from the Jefferson/Stamford Merged Team in the High Jump event. By virtue of their wins, all of these athletes are recognized as Tri Valley Track and Field All Stars for the 2025-26 Spring Season. In team results, the SKCS/Andes/Charlotte Valley Merged Teams had the top girls team finish in 3rd place and the top boys team finish in 5th place. On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to recognize the individual accomplishments of our spring male athletes in golf. In Boys Individual Sectionals at the Mark Twain Golf Club in Elmira, NY we had two athletes representing the Delaware League. They were Gideon Glennon from Hunter Tannersville Central School and Boston Quarino from the Andes/SKCS Merged Team. Both attempted to qualify for the Boys Section IV State Team in a field of 73 competitors. Gideon missed advancing to second round play by just three shots. Congratulations on proudly representing your schools, communities, and the Delaware League so proudly in the tournament.
On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate the Windham Ashland Jewett Boys Varsity Tennis Team for proudly representing our league in the Section IV Division 2 Team Tennis Tournament at the Binghamton Tennis Center. In the semifinals, the team defeated the #4 seeded team from the IAC, Watkins Glen, by the score of 3-0. In the finals, the #3 seeded team from the STAC, Oneonta, defeated Windham Ashland Jewett by the score of 3-0. Congratulations on an extremely successful season, and best of luck to Oneonta as they will represent Section IV in the NYSPHSAA Division 2 Team Tennis State Tournament!!!
On behalf of the Delaware League, we would like to congratulate the following Varsity Girls Basketball players for being named to the NYSSWA 2025-26 Class D and B Girls All State Basketball Team Lists. In Class D, named to the 1st Team was McKenna Hoyt from the Stamford/Jefferson Merged Team. Named to the 7th Team was Tierney Turner from the Stamford/Jefferson Merged Team. Named to the Honorable Mention Lists were Brinlee Wright from the Charlotte Valley/Schenevus Merged Team and Lily Constable from Hunter Tannersville Central School. In Class B, named to the 5th Team was Grace Walley from the Downsville/Walton Merged Team. This is a tremendous honor that recognizes the hard work of these players, their teammates, and their coaching staff. The entire league, our schools, the athletes families, and their local communities are proud of these accomplishments!!!
