The Delaware League JV Championships will take place on Tuesday February 18th, 2025 at Roxbury Central School. Admission will be $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for students and Senior Citizens over 65, and just students under 10 are free. The JV Girls Championship Game will be at 5:30 pm with the #1 seed Charlotte Valley/Schenevus Merged Team playing the #2 seed Stamford/Jefferson Merged Team. The JV Boys Championship Game will be at 7:00 pm with the #1 seed South Kortright Central School playing the #2 seed Margaretville Central School. Congratulations to our Delaware League Regular Season Varsity Basketball Champions. On the girl's side, the South Kortright Central School Lady Rams finished undefeated in league play with a record of 5-0 to claim the regular season title. On the boy's side, the Margaretville Central School Blue Devils also finished undefeated in league play with a record of 6-0 to claim the regular season title. The First Round of the Delaware League Boys Varsity Basketball Playoffs will take place on Tuesday February 11th, 2025 at various sites. In the Upper Bracket, #1 seed Margaretville will host #4 seed Jefferson/Stamford with a JV time of 5:30 pm and a Varsity time of 7:00 pm. #2 seed SKCS will host #3 seed Charlotte Valley with a JV time of 5:30 pm and a Varsity time of 7:00 pm. The winners in the Upper Bracket will be off until the Delaware League Varsity Championships at SUNY Delhi on Thursday February 20th, 2025 at 7:30 pm. The Upper Bracket losers will pair off in Second Round action on Thursday February 13th, 2025 at the school of the lower seeded team. The Lower Bracket will be a three night round robin. On Tuesday February 11th, 2025 #5 seed Gilboa/Roxbury will host #7 seed Windham in a single Varsity game at 5:30 pm. On Wednesday February 12th, 2025 #6 seed HTC will host #7 seed Windham in a single Varsity game at 5:30 pm. Named to the 2nd team was McKenna Hoyt from the Stamford/Jefferson merged team. Named to the 3rd team was Addy Eckert from South Kortright Central School. Named to the 4th team was Carlee Dropp from South Kortright Central School. This is a tremendous honor and recognizes the hard work of these players, their teammates, and their coaching staff. On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors we would like to congratulate former Daily Star Sports Editor Dean Russin for being recognized by the New York State Public Relations Association for receiving an Award of Honor for social media coverage in his role as DCMO Public Relations Specialist serving Sherburne-Earlville Central School for his coverage of the schools basketball court dedication to retiring 36 year Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Kevin Vibbard Sr.at his final home game before his retirement at the conclusion of the 2023-24 season. There was livestream coverage and photo coverage of the event. The coverage broke a school Facebook record with 1726 reactions and 192 comments. Congrats Dean!!!

On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate the Delhi/Charlotte Valley Boys Varsity Football Merged Team on winning the Section IV Class D Championship by defeating perennial power Tioga by the score of 22-21 in overtime. In NYSPHSAA quarterfinal play, the team was unfortunately defeated by Section III opponent Dolgeville by the score of 28-16. We are proud of how you represented your schools and communities all season long. Congrats again!!!

On behalf of the Delaware League Superintendents and Athletic Directors, we would like to congratulate the Delhi/South Kortright Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country Merged Teams on their performances at the NYSPHSAA Class D State Cross Country Championships. The Boys Team finished in 7th place overall and the Girls Team finished in 5th place overall. Aurelia Comer was recognized as a NYSPHSAA Cross Country All Star. Individual South Kortright athletes who finished in the top 100 were Aurelia Comer in 13th place, Elsa Marigliano in 63rd place, Daphne Vasilakis in 67th place, and Emma Smith in 85th place. We are very proud of all of you for your team and individual accomplishments. Congrats again!!!

Congratulations to the overall Delaware League Soccer Champions in our games held on Saturday October 19th, 2024 at the NSHOF Wright National Soccer Campus Fields in Oneonta, NY. On the boys side, the Gilboa/Roxbury and Downsville/Walton Merged teams battled to a 1-1 draw resulting in Co-Champions. In the girls final game, the South Kortright Lady Rams defeated the Charlotte Valley Lady Wildcats by a score of 3-2 to be Champions. These were two great games played by all four of our competing teams!!!

The Delaware League Varsity Boys and Girls 2024-25 Soccer Championships will take place on Saturday October 19th, 2024 at the Wright National Soccer Campus Hall of Fame Fields in Oneonta, NY. In the boys championship game at 10:00 AM, the Gilboa/Roxbury Merged team is the #1 seed and they will play the #2 seed Downsville/Walton Merged Team. In the girls championship game at 10:15 AM, South Kortright is the #1 seed and they will play the #2 seed Charlotte Valley.
