West
Corning Hawks (Class A)
Head Coach: Tim Ball, 22nd year

Team Goals: Always to be one of the top teams in the section. We will have a roster overhaul from last year, but we have many players, both returning and new players, that are eager to fill in the positions and make us one of the stronger teams around.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC West division.
Elmira Express (Class A)
Head Coach: Opal Golden, 3rd year (8th overall)

Team Goals: Considering we are a relatively new program – this only our 3rd year – our main goal is to continue to improve the fundamental skills necessary to be able to challenge their opponents. We are working on creating a tennis team culture that is focused on dedication, determination, and improvement.
Last Season: Finished 4th in STAC West division.
Horseheads Blue Raiders (Class A)

Team Goals: We want to get better through the season, try and maybe go .500 or just above, and look forward to making some progress in STAC and Sectionals.

Team Goals: Finish first in STAC and Sectionals. We are aiming to have multiple players succeed in Sectionals and State Qualifiers, with the goal of many players earning a trip to States. More importantly, we hope to play great tennis, work hard, and have lots of team fun along the way!
Last Season: Won STAC West division. Defeated Oneonta in Semi-final, lost to Union-Endicott in STAC Championship. Jonah Jabobstein / Gian Haring won Section IV Class A Doubles Championship and advanced to the Round of 32 at the NYSPHSAA Doubles State Championship.
Metro
Binghamton Patriots (Class A)
Head Coach: Mary K. Jensen, 16th year (30+ overall)

Team Goals: These Patriots players will be successful as they strive to be consistent with their play on the tennis court. Looking forward to an enjoyable season where each student athlete is determined to improve on their individual tennis game. They will have fun playing this lifelong sport of tennis and representing their families well.
Last Season: Did not field a varsity team.
Johnson City Wildcats (Class B)
Head Coach: Natalie Pelton, 3rd year (7th overall)

Team Goals: Learn and understand the four main components of tennis: Mental, Physical, Technical and Tactical. Transfer knowledge into action by demonstrating learned skills in competitive play. Learn life skills through playing tennis. Actively apply lessons learned in the sport into everyday life.
Last Season: Finished 4th in STAC Metro division.
Maine-Endwell Spartans (Class B)
Head Coach: Bill Underwood, 5th year (15th overall)

Team Goals: Challenge for a Sectional Title and representing Section IV at the State Tournament. And as always, build the sport, have fun, and compete enthusiastically.

Team Goals: We will be defending our first STAC championship in over 40 years. This is a wonderful group of guys and they know the competition will be tough. Our goals are consistent play while maintaining composure. Good sportsmanship is a must! This is an exciting time to be a Tiger tennis player!
Last Season: Won STAC Metro division. Defeated Chenango Forks in Semi-final and Ithaca to win STAC Championship. Won Section IV Class A and Section IV Division 1 Team Tennis Championships. Lost to Washingtonville (IX) in NYSPHSAA Team Tennis Division 1 Regional Final. JJ Herzing won Section IV Class A Singles Championship and advanced to the Round of 32 at the NYSPHSAA Singles State Championship.
Vestal Golden Bears (Class B)

Aniket Govindaraju / Asher Pasha won Section IV Class B Doubles Championship and advanced to the Round of 32 at the NYSPHSAA Doubles State Championship.

Chenango Forks Blue Devils (Class C)

Team Goals: Compete for a Section IV Team Title.
Last Season: Won STAC Central division. Lost to Union-Endicott in STAC Semi-final. Alex McMullen / Nolan Sirgany advanced to the Round of 32 at the NYSPHSAA Doubles State Championship.
Chenango Valley Warriors (Class C)
Head Coach: Terry Price, 16th year (40th overall)
Key Players: Owen Stafford (jr.), Kainoa Tang-Chung (fresh.), Arin Miller (sr.)
Team Goals: Compete for STAC Central division title, have at least two or more players move onto state qualifiers, improve every day, and support each other as teammates throughout the season.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC Central division.
Owego River Hawks (Class B)
Head Coach: Erica Haray, 10th year
Key Players: Sam Beyer (sr./1st Singles), DJ Cardone (sr./2nd Singles), Scott Reigel (soph./3rd Singles)
Team Goals: Further develop as individual tennis players, promote good sportsmanship, and compete and place at sectionals. As a program, our goal remains to recruit and grow our tennis programs at Owego. We have eight players on our Modified Boys Tennis team, and will continue leading summer enrichment tennis camps for all students.
Last Season: Finished 4th in STAC Central division.
Seton Catholic Saints (Class C)
Head Coach: Katie Hundley, 2nd year
Key Players: Cooper Guy (soph./1st Singles), Sean Lee (sr./2nd Singles), Dominick Williamson (soph./3rd Singles), Jack Bouton (jr./4th Singles)
Team Goals: Win 50% of our matches this season. Get our new and younger players excited about tennis to continue to build a strong boys tennis program at Seton. This is our first season eligible for postseason play; some of my key players have hopes of winning a couple rounds in sectionals this year.
Last Season: Competed as an Independent.
Waverly Wolverines (Class B)
Head Coach: Ron Chamberlain, 4th year (13th overall)

Team Goals: I expect to see us win more matches in singles and doubles play, which should translate to more competitive dual matches and potential wins for our team. Last year we went 3 7, and our team goal this season is to have a winning season record.
Last Season: Finished 3rd in STAC Central division.
East
Norwich Purple Tornado (Class B)
Head Coach: Wendy Swingle, 5th year (6th overall)
Key Players: Liam Hunter (sr./Singles), Joey Hall (sr./Singles), Timmy Guzewich (sr./Singles), Troy Schack (sr.), David “Vinny” Lawson (jr.)
Team Goals: Have a winning season and beat some teams that have evaded us over the years.
Last Season: Finished 3rd in STAC East division.
Oneonta Yellowjackets (Class C)
Head Coach: Gary Segal, 3rd year
Key Players: Derek Fronckowiak (sr.), Jordan Fronckowiak (sr.), Evie Chen (fresh.), Anthony Ianelli (sr.), Niko Ianelli, (jr.), Miles Gelbsman (jr.)
Team Goals: Out short-term goals include strength building – we go to the gym and complete tennis specific strength building exercises with a focus on high repetitions and stretching. We spend at least ½ hour every practice with endurance, footwork, recovery, acceleration, deceleration, and stroke readiness … ladder drills, line drills, sprints, static stretching, lateral movement, and changeups. We are focusing on our forehand and backhand swing dynamics to get better return on the ball with less effort on the swing which will help the players conserve energy on those long matches. Our long-term goals include growing the team, promoting tennis in our district and the city, searching for young players that are interested in putting in the time, and working on mental strength throughout the seasons.
Last Season: Won STAC East division. Lost to Ithaca in STAC Semi-final. Defeated Windham-Ashland-Jewett in Semi-final, lost to Delhi in Section IV Division 2 Team Tennis Championship.
Susquehanna Valley Sabers (Class C)
Head Coach: Anthony Ruffo, 15th year
Key Players: Mitchell Latini (sr.), Palmer Gendron (sr.)
Team Goals: The Sabers are coming off a down year and are looking to rebound in the STAC East. The STAC East title is the goal for the Sabers. We are looking to place some participants back in the State Qualifier for the 2026 Season. We have a nice mix of veteran and young players and have been putting in the work to make that a reality.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC East division.
Windsor Black Knights (Class C)
Head Coach: Bill Mirch, 4th year
