Team Goals: After a year without a varsity team, the 2026 season marks an exciting new beginning as the program focuses on rebuilding from the ground up. With a very young roster, our team is embracing the opportunity to grow, learn, and develop together every day. While experience at this level may be limited, their commitment and willingness to improve is helping to set the tone for a promising future. The goal this season is simple: lay a strong foundation, build team chemistry, and establish a culture of hard work and resilience that will carry the program forward for years to come.

Team Goals: Qualify for sectionals and earn a spot back into the Section IV Class A Championship game. Our other goals include making new friendships on our team, becoming leaders, and getting 1% better each day.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC Metro division. Defeated Johnson City in Semi-final and Chenango Valley to win Section IV Class A Championship. Defeated Peru (VII) in Regional Final, lost to Miller Place (XI) in NYSPHSAA Class A State Semi-final.
Union-Endicott Tigers (Class AA)
Head Coach: Griffin McIver, 2nd year (9th overall)

Chenango Forks Blue Devils (Class B)

Team Goals: Focus on the things we can control: attitude, effort, focus. Keep a positive mindset, communicate, and have fun! Continue to learn the game of softball.

Chenango Valley Warriors (Class A)
Head Coach: Sue Edwards, 1st year (10th overall)

Team Goals: Growth, culture, effort, and pride—things OUR team can control every single day! Our goals this season are simple: Work hard, support each other, and get better every day. If we do those things, success will take care of itself.
Last Season: Won STAC Central division. Lost to Corning in STAC Semi-final. Defeated Owego in Semi-final, lost to Maine-Endwell in Section IV Class A Championship.
Owego River Hawks (Class A)
Head Coach: Emily Crawford, 3rd year

Team Goals: Be competitive in every game and gain confidence needed to sustain continued successes from the last two seasons.

Seton Catholic Saints (Class C)
Head Coach: Katie Basile, 4th year
Key Players: Olivia Duffy Nazarenus (soph./P, SS), Megan Mentz (jr./C, INF, UT)
Team Goals: Another young team with a lot of potential. No seniors this year; however, our program is growing with some great talent up and coming. We would like to be in Sectionals for the third year in a row and just do the best we can on and off the field!
Last Season: Finished 4th in STAC Central division. Defeated Oxford in First Round, lost to Union Springs in Section IV Class C Quarterfinal.
Waverly Wolverines (Class A)
Head Coach: Brent Doane, 3rd year

Team Goals: We are hoping to continue to build on the successes we have had. We are always shooting to make sectionals. Once there, anything can happen!

Norwich Purple Tornado (Class A)

Susquehanna Valley Sabers (Class B)
Head Coach: Karen Bidwell, 25th year (32nd overall)

Team Goals: Our ultimate goal is to compete for a state title, but we’re focused on taking it one game at a time and continuing to improve each day. We’ve put together a challenging schedule that will test us and help prepare us for postseason play. We have a strong mix of leadership and youth, and our goal is to put ourselves in a position to be successful when it matters most. After falling short at Regionals last year, this group is motivated to take the next step—we’re looking forward to seeing them grow, compete, and hopefully make some noise this season.
Last Season: Won STAC East division. Lost to Vestal in STAC Semi-final. Defeated Whitney Point in Quarterfinal, Waverly in Semi-final, and Edison to win Section IV Class B Championship. Lost to Haverling (V) in NYSPHSAA Class B Regional Final.
Windsor Black Knights (Class B)
Head Coach: Mike Kuratnick, 2nd year (3rd overall)
Key Players: Payton Baret (soph.), Emily Flagg (jr.), Paige Cauiola (jr.), Taitum Guarino (soph.), Berkley Ingram (fresh.), Brooke Quick (soph.)
Team Goals: We are committed to competing at our highest level in every aspect of the game. By testing ourselves against a rigorous schedule this year, we aim to grow with every challenge. Our mindset is focused on the immediate task—winning the next at-bat—while keeping our ultimate sights set on reaching the Section IV Class B Championship.
Last Season: Finished 2nd in STAC East division. Lost to Edison in Section IV Class B Quarterfinal.
