ONEONTA - South Kortright boys soccer shutout the Walton/Downsville WarEagles, 4-0, Saturday, Oct. 14, clinching the Delaware League champ title for the eighth year in a row.

SK Coach Rob VanValkenburgh praised his teams’ effort. “We took advantage of our opportunities.” A strong defensive game helped net the victory, VanValkenburgh said. He didn’t take the game for granted, he said, “Walton-Downsville is a very good team.”

Rams’ Adam Champlin stood out with a couple of point-blank saves in goal, showcasing the importance of every position, he said.

WarEagle frustration was evident, with a yellow card thrown against them in each half of the game.

Anderson scored again midway through the second half, with an assist from Bryne, followed by a Troy Dianich goal. Declan McCracken and Connor Quarino contributed an assist to the Rams’ victory and championship title.
