Summary of Delaware League Meeting on Monday November 22nd, 2021 regarding hosting home athletic contests and spectator policies of our 11 schools
Andes: no home contests as they are merged with South Kortright
Davenport: plan to allow both home and away spectators. Temperature will be taken to enter and see
the game. Masks required at all times. Social distance and family seating. Streaming
games on Facebook Live.
Downsville: plan to allow both home and away spectators. Masks required at all times. Social
distance and family seating. Concessions in cafeteria, no food to the gym. Streaming
on a link on the Downsville website.
Gilboa: plan to allow home and away spectators at a cap of 5 spectators per student athlete for all
home and away athletes. Masks required at all times. Social distance and family seating.
Streaming is to be determined. No concessions at this time. All spectators must check
in with chaperones on arrival.
HTC: plan to allow home spectators without a limit and to go with 2 spectators per athlete for away
teams. Masks required at all times. Social distance and family seating. Concessions in upstairs
cafeteria, no food to the gym. Streaming would be on YouTube.
Jefferson: plan to allow both home and away spectators at the rate of 2 spectators per student athlete
for both schools. There will be a crowd for the junior varsity game, and the gym will be
cleared and then the crowd for the varsity game will enter. Separate crowds for both games.
There will be a limited number of JCS students based on in school sign ups. Seating will be
every other row with separation of one seat for family members and two seats for non-family
members. Masks required at all times. Social distance and family seating in the gym and
halls. No standing in the gym. No streaming at this time.
Margaretville: plan to allow both home and away spectators sitting in designated bleachers.
Temperature checks will be taken to enter and see the game. Masks required at all
times. Social distance and family seating. Every other row only for seating. Doors
plan to be open for ventilation. Concessions in designated area, no food to the gym.
No streaming at this time.
Roxbury: plan to allow both home and away spectators. Masks required at all times. Social distance
and family distance. Concessions to be determined. Streaming to be determined. Neither
at this point in time.
South Kortright: plan is to allow home and visiting spectators spectators for all games with no .
restrictions. Masks required at all times. Social distance and family seating.
No concessions at this point in time. Streaming on Pixellot with a one month
subscription cost of $10.99 or $36.99 for a calendar year. Visiting spectators
must be behind the visitors bench. Entrance in the back
of the school only and they must sign in.
Stamford: plan is to allow both home and away spectators with possible maximum gym limit. Masks
required at all times. Social distance and family seating. No concessions at this point in
time. Streaming on Boxcast, a free service.
Windham: plan is to allow only home spectators at the ratio of 4 spectators per athlete. No visiting
spectators. WAJ students will be allowed to attend. Health Attestation forms must be filled
out by all spectators to enter and see the game. Social distance and family seating.
Concessions in cafeteria only, no food to the gym. Streaming on a link on the WAJ website.
Notes: Schools cannot stream sectional games as those rights NFHS has.
As long as a school can field a team despite Covid/quarantine issues, the game will be played.
Spectators not complying with the home school guidelines will be asked to leave immediately by
the onsite chaperone/administrator.
Ski schools: Please have racers and coaches where masks when in lodges.
Question I thought of after the meeting. Will host schools have visiting locker room available for athletes to use for changing purposes??? If you will NOT, please let everyone know so they can make
arrangements to come changed and ready to play with minimal changing needed.
