Stamford/Jefferson Boys Roll Past SK/A for Historic Delaware League Title
DELHi - Stamford/Jefferson defeated South Kortright/Andes 70-45 to capture the 2026 Delaware League Boys Basketball Championship, securing a milestone victory for both programs, Saturday Feb. 21. For Stamford Central School, it marks the first Delaware League title in the modern era of the league (1975-2026). For Jefferson Central School, it is the program’s first league championship since the late 1970’s. Stamford/Jefferson set the tone early and never relinquished control, building separation with perimeter shooting and balanced scoring. Pat Terk led the way with 22 points, consistently attacking the lane and converting in transition. Jake Mrozik delivered a decisive performance from beyond the arc, scoring 20 points and burying six three-pointers to stretch the Rams’ defense. Max Eisel added a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, anchoring the effort inside. South Kortright/Andes was paced by Parker Popp, who poured in a game-high 25 points. JB Trimbell added seven points and Skylar Macintyre chipped in with four.
