Rams reign continues with 9th straight DL title

DELHI - The South Kortright Boys Varsity Basketball team claimed the Delaware League Championship title for the ninth year in a row, in a game against Charlotte Valley, Thursday, Feb. 15. Just one point separated the winner in the closely matched game.

Davenport took an early lead with a first-quarter score of 13-11. The Rams dominated the second quarter, 17-12, where SK’s Connor Quarino netted 10 of his game-high 27 points, leading all scorers.

The Wildcats turned up the offense in the third-quarter outscoring the Rams, 17-13, with the Rams leading at half-time with a score of 28-25.

SK outshot CV in the fourth-quarter 18-16 for a final score of 59-58, and the league championship title.

Jacob Staroba contributed 10 points to the win. Darren Dengler, Boston Quarino and Jack Byrne netted six points each.

Leading the Wildcats in scoring was Ezra Ontl with 17 points. Team mate Trevor Waid contributed 15 points to the effort.
